Pineda Publishes Book Chapter
Adela Pineda, Professor of Spanish, penned a chapter for the recently released book Fronteras de violencia en México y Estados Unidos, edited by Oswaldo Estrada. Pineda’s chapter is titled, “Roma (2018), el sublime objeto de la ideología liberal” and explores the film Roma (Cuaron 2018) and why it was so successful among a wide spectrum of audiences. The basis of the analysis is a comparison with the French story “Un coeur Simple” by Gustave Flaubert.
