2021 Grad Conference a Big Success!

The Romance Studies graduate students held their annual conference this past weekend, in a virtual format for the second year.

Kelly Keenan, one of the organizers of the event, tells us:

“The 2021 graduate student conference went wonderfully! We had more panelists than we have had at any recent conference over the past few years, including five international panelists. This large turnout allowed us to explore the theme of mobility / mutability from several interesting perspectives, each talk enriching the next. We were especially happy with the keynote speech. Dr. Leonard Cassuto discussed the changing world of the academic job market and graduate education, and his wise words left us feeling more prepared to face the current reality of academia, while also more empowered about taking control of our education and our professional trajectories. I was happy to work with an incredible and driven organizing team who enabled us to host another meaningful and engaging conference this year!”
