Tiffany Bailey Studies in Avignon

This summer, I spent six weeks in Avignon, France with the Institut d’Avignon to study French literature and experience southern France. MeetingĀ  graduate students and professors from other universities was enlightening and it was so fun to learn together! The landscape was beautiful, and I especially appreciated the widespread lavender fields in the region as that is my favorite color and scent. During my stay, I also travelled to Paris, Marseille, Les Baux-de-Provence, and Germany. The only downside was the multiple heat waves that brought temperatures in Avignon to 100+ degrees F for multiple days in a row – but this hopefully gave me enough warmth to last through the inevitable Boston winter!

Tiffany’s study in Avignon was funded by grants from the BU Graduate School of Arts & Sciences and the Ernest A. Jackson fund.
