New York – The Americas Poetry Festival

In its fifth edition, The Americas Poetry Festival of New York (poetryny.com) honors the memory of Dominican poet Virginia Moore (1945-2011). Virginia lived in New York for more than fifty years and passed away leaving most of her literary works unpublished. TAPFNY is a multilingual poetry festival and writers’ conference organized by poets and professors Carlos Aguasaco, Yrene Santos, and Carlos Velásquez. This year TAPFNY will take place on October 10, 11 and 12. As in previous years, the venues will be: The City College of New York CWE, the Walt Whitman Birthplace State Historic Site and Interpretive Center, the Consulate of Argentina in New York, and Instituto Cervantes NY. TAPFNY is currently sponsored by the Division of Interdisciplinary Studies of The City College of New York, Artepoetica Press, Escribana Books and Terraza 7 Live Music. This year, TAPFNY wishes to extend special thanks to Dutch Foundation For Literature, Latvian Literature Platform, and ASEDEU for their support.
