As part of the Latin American Studies Association (LASA) annual conference, Laurie Garriga participated in the panel ““Visualizaciones y visibilidades: Puerto Rico, puertorriqueñes y puertorriqueñidades desde lentes los estéticos y performáticos” .

Laurie’s presentation, “Archivo ilustrado: artistas puertorriqueñxs en Instagram’,’ followed the works of four different Puerto Rican illustrators and their archival practices through Instagram.

Laurie is a doctoral student in our Hispanic Language & Literatures program.
