Carrión Guerrero Hosts Speaker on Inclusive Film-Making

This past spring, Elena Carrión Guerrero arranged for Spanish filmmaker Miguel Ángel Font Bisier to give a talk in her LS 306 (Spanish Through Translation) class on inclusive film-making. Font Bisier explained to the class in details the considerations he makes when constructing an inclusive film, such as writing a script with anticipation of how that script will appear in closed captioning.

Carrión Guerrero described the talk as “extremely inspiring,” and the students in the class appreciated his insights into building inclusive art.

The event was made possible by a grant from the Hub Course Enhancement Fund. A more in-depth account can be found on the BU Center for Teaching & Learning website.
