Pineda to Leave BU
Professor Adela Pineda, long a mainstay of the Spanish section, will be leaving BU to take up a post as the Director of the Teresa Lozano Long Institute of Latin American Studies at the University of Texas at Austin.
Pineda has for years been an important contributor to the Romance Studies Department, both as a leading scholar of Spanish American literature & film and also as a dedicated teacher and mentor who has guided many students, both graduate and undergraduate, in their development as scholars. She will be missed by colleagues and students alike.
