Alicia Borinsky is Professor of Latin American and Comparative Literature at Boston University where she founded the Writing in the Americas Program. Her poetry has a playful, yet intense style that comes across well in live readings. She has known—and even been an inspiration for—many Latin American writers, especially of those of the so-called “boom” generation. Some of her papers were recently acquired by Amherst College and given an archival exhibition in their library.
This event is co-sponsored by Women’s Studies, Latin American Studies and the Department of Modern and Classical Languages and Cultures. For more information, call (508) 767-7305.
