Joan Salge Blake(10/13/17) Clinical Associate Professor Joan Salge Blake criticizes the FDA for delaying the implementation of a new food nutrition label, a “much-needed” update to address the “unhealthy diets and physical inactivity” in the country. In 2016, she writes, the FDA revealed a new label that included a clearer focus on calories, real serving sizes and added sugars, but has since decided to push back its enforcement until January 2020.
