Sargent Choice Refreshing Blueberry Ginger Drink

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup blueberries
- 1/2 tsp ginger
- 2 sprigs mint
- 1 can sparkling water (plain, lemon, or lime)
- Ice
Directions
Divide blueberries and ginger into two cups. Mash with a spoon. Add sparkling water, ice, and sprig of mint to each glass. Squeeze in some lime or lemon juice or use flavored seltzer. Adjust amounts to your taste. Enjoy!
What we liked:
- The combination of the blueberries, ginger and mint made this an incredibly refreshing drink.
- This complemented the SC Quinoa Salad nicely.
Suggestions:
- Add more or less ginger to create a spicier, more pungent flavor.
- Add more blueberries to make the drink sweeter.
- Mash up the blueberries more to make the drink less thick.
- Add additional berries such as raspberries to give additional flavor.

- Blueberries provide fiber for filling power and a burst of vitamin C, vitamin K and other supportive micronutrients and phytochemicals.
- Ginger and mint help to provide this drink with an amazing refreshing flavor, which can inspire us to incorporate more hydrating fluids throughout the day or with meals.
