帕特里夏·费边 and her team will raise awareness of 热-related health risks, elevate city residents’ experiences, and synthesize the effects of local policies on 热 mitigation and health in frontline US communities.
威康, a charitable foundation based in the United Kingdom, has granted 帕特里夏·费边, associate professor of environmental health, a $3.2 million 气候影响奖 to expand the scope of her 正在进行的新濠影汇线上赌场研究 on 酷热 and health.
Over the next three years, Fabian will lead an interdisciplinary team of 新濠影汇线上赌场研究ers from across 波士顿大学, including faculty, staff, and students from SPH’s 气候与健康中心 (CCH), the BU 城市倡议 (IOC), the BU 全球可持续发展新濠影汇线上赌场研究所 (IGS), and the BU 城市 graduate studies program. Together, they will collaborate with non-profits 地球的对话 and 更美好的城市 (ABC) to raise public awareness of 热-related health risks and identify solutions that enhance the resilience of vulnerable communities to extreme temperatures.
