Faculty Search: African American Studies Program at Boston University-Tenured Endowed Chair

The African American Studies Program at Boston University invites applications for the George and Joyce Wein Chair in African American Studies, with a joint appointment at the tenured full professor level in any of the discipline(s) of Anthropology, Biology, Earth & Environment, Economics, English, History, History of Art & Architecture, Philosophy, Political Science, Religion, Romance Studies, Sociology, or Social Work, beginning in July 2015.

We are looking for an established colleague with leadership capacity and an outstanding record of teaching and research on the African American experience in the contemporary period. Candidates with complementary interests in and appreciation for the international and comparative dimensions of African American life are especially encouraged to apply. Areas of specialization within disciplines are open.
