Noroña named 2018’s emerging leader by NASW-MA

March 29, 2018  The National Association of Social Workers’ Massachusetts Chapter presents six awards to social workers each year who have made extraordinary contributions to their community and their field. Carmen Rosa Noroña, LCSW, CEIS, MS.Ed—a 2012 BUSSW BRIDGE Program graduateis this year’s Emerging Leader.

Noroña is currently the clinical coordinator of Boston Medical’s The Child Witness to Violence Project (CWVP) and associate director of the CWVP Early Trauma Treatment Network. Noroña also co-founded the Birth to Three Clinic, an intervention program for young children with attachment problems. She has written numerous articles and worked as a child-parent psychotherapist and a translator for Spanish-speaking families.

Noroña will be presented with the Emerging Leader Award at this year’s NASW-MA Symposium, a social work conference offering workshops, presentations, and an annual awards ceremony.
