SSW Faculty Member Receives BU Professorship

Dr. Marah Curtis, Assistant Professor in the School’s Social Welfare Policy Department, has been awarded three years of salary and research support as a Boston University Peter Paul Development Professorships. The Professorship recognizes new faculty members with great promise in their field. Dr. Curtis is one of four recipients of this award for the 2006/2007 academic year.

Dr. Curtis’ research interests focus on the effects of public policy on the well being of children and families, with particular emphasis on housing policy, welfare reform, and poverty.
