Professor Lundgren Named BUSSW Director of Research

Dean Gail Steketee has announced that Professor Lena Lundgren will assume the role of the School of Social Work’s Director of Research beginning in September 2008.

Dr. Lundgren’s duties will include identifying grant opportunities for faculty and doctoral students; mentoring faculty on proposal development; providing technical advice on ongoing funded research projects; advising on data dissemination activities; and promoting visibility of faculty research within and outside of BU. She will continue to teach Social Welfare Policy as well as serve as Director of the Center for Addictions Research and Services.

"Dr. Lundgren has a long track record of funding and of mentoring faculty and graduate students in research and grant activities," comments Dean Steketee. "She will be of great assistance in helping us move forward in this way."
