Celebrating National Social Work Month

2011-SWM-LogoMarch is National Social Work Month and is an opportunity to celebrate the important work being done to change lives, and is a chance to educate people about the profession and issues important to social workers.

The National Social Work Month theme, “Social Workers Change Futures,” promotes the role of social worker as positive change agent, and honors the 640,000 professional social workers in the United States who dedicate their careers to help people transform their lives, or improve environments that make such progress possible.

Throughout March, the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW-MA)  will host Boston-area social work events that highlight the “Social Workers Change Futures” theme.
