A Film Tribute to the Women Who Fought in Zimbabwe’s Civil War

Find out about the women who fought in Zimbabwe’s civil war in a screening of Flame at 6:30 p.m. on February 7.

Shot in Zimbabwe with a local cast, Flame focuses on two women who join the country’s fight for independence, which lasted from 1972 to 1980. Sponsored by the African Studies Center, the 1996 film will be shown at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 7, in ASC 416, 270 Bay State Rd., part of the African Film Night series.
