She won her Academy Award for best supporting actress in 1988’s 意外的游客 and was nominated in 1992 for best actress for 末路狂花与路易斯. Among the films she’s starred in are 苍蝇, Beetlejuice, and 他们自己的联盟. Davis is a member at large of the 加州妇女地位委员会 and works with 一点, the women’s empowerment fund of the United Nations, on media gender issues.
